Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a plan to deploy compensation, support, and resettlement work to implement the Project to clear ground for the Saigon riverside road through Lai Thieu, Binh Hoa and Thuan An wards.
The road is about 7.4km long, with a scale of 6 lanes. The roadbed is 32m wide, the road surface is 21m wide; the sidewalk on the side adjacent to people's houses is 5m wide and on the side adjacent to the Saigon River is 4m wide.
The project is divided into 3 sections, with a total investment of nearly 9,400 billion VND, of which site clearance costs are more than 7,600 billion VND.
The section from Gia Long road to Vinh Phu 40 road is more than 1.8km long, with approved site clearance costs of more than 2,006 billion VND, and the expected land area to be recovered is about 9.14ha.
In Lai Thieu ward, local authorities organized a people's meeting to announce the land recovery plan and issued land recovery notices for 110 cases in phase 1.
The second section from National Highway 13, the area near Vinh Binh canal, to Vinh Phu 40 road is more than 3.9km long, with site clearance costs of more than 4,167 billion VND.
In which, the section through Lai Thieu ward is expected to recover about 8.55ha of land, and the section through Binh Hoa ward will recover about 10.19ha.
The third section from Binh Nham canal to An Son port is about 1.8km long, with site clearance costs of more than 1,482 billion VND. In which, the section through Lai Thieu ward is expected to recover about 2ha of land and the section through Thuan An ward will recover about 3.14ha.
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requests to complete compensation, support and resettlement work to serve the project before December 31, 2026.
To ensure progress, the People's Committees of Lai Thieu, Binh Hoa and Thuan An wards are assigned to develop detailed plans, coordinate with compensation implementing units to deploy land recovery, compensation, support and resettlement in accordance with regulations.
The Lai Thieu Ward Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned to proactively implement tasks on compensation, support, resettlement and land recovery; and at the same time coordinate in preparing dossiers and relocating technical infrastructure to serve the project.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requests assigned units to be responsible for the progress and quality of work, promptly report, remove difficulties and obstacles, and not affect the overall progress of the project.
