At about 3:20 pm on August 20, heavy rain accompanied by tornadoes occurred in the areas of Da Huoai and Da Huoai 2 communes, causing many green trees along National Highway 20 and people's roads to be uprooted and fallen.

On National Highway 20, at least 4 points of green trees and forest trees fell across the road, causing traffic obstruction, including the Deo Chuoi and Deo Bao Loc areas.
At Deo Chuoi Pass, an ancient forest tree fell on a truck in traffic. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties, the truck was slightly damaged.

Immediately after receiving the news, Madaguoi Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police) coordinated with military forces, local police and people to urgently arrive at the scene to handle the situation.

Dozens of officers, soldiers and people used chainsaws, knives, and machetes to cut down fallen trees, and at the same time organized traffic regulation and diversion in heavy rain conditions.
At about 5:20 pm on the same day, the fallen tree points on National Highway 20, including Deo Chuoi Pass and Bao Loc Pass, were basically cleared. Traffic through the area returned to normal.
