Dai Nga bridge connecting Loc Nga commune (Bao Loc city) and Loc An commune (Bao Lam district) on National Highway 20 has completed construction. However, this bridge has not been able to be put into operation for a long time due to problems in site clearance.
In 2023, a new bridge about 100m long will be built with a total investment of more than 440 billion VND. This is a item of the Mimosa Pass and Bridges on National Highway 20 Upgrade Project, to replace the old Dai Nga Bridge that has seriously degraded.
The bridge will be completed by the end of 2024. Currently, the access road on the M1 abutment (in Loc Nga commune, Bao Loc city) has been completed.
However, the approach road on the M2 abutment (in Loc An commune, Bao Lam district) cannot be implemented yet due to the completion of site clearance.
According to the plan, the construction of the access road on the M2 abutment requires land acquisition from four households. Some of which are located in the road safety protection corridor.
Due to the completion of compensation and clearance, the construction unit has not been able to implement the construction of this connecting section.
This situation makes the new bridge unusable. While thousands of vehicles still have to travel through the old Dai Nga bridge every day - which is degraded, narrow and poses a potential risk to traffic safety.
Regarding this project, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant departments and branches to coordinate with Bao Lam District People's Committee to urgently carry out compensation and site clearance work. The goal is to hand over to the contractor for construction before April 15, 2025. The locality will be responsible if there is a delay without a legitimate reason.
Currently, the People's Committee of Bao Lam district is directing specialized agencies and the People's Committee of Loc An commune to actively work with households to negotiate, reclaim land and soon complete site clearance, ensuring project progress.
