Real Madrid have offered Rodrygo for £77 million, a player currently a target for Arsenal. The Gunners are looking to sign an elite left winger this summer and Rodrygo has met their demands. The Gunners have also been interested in Nico Williams, but the Spaniard has a preference to join Barcelona.
Arsenal defender Gabriel has also spoken out about the rumors, calling Rodrygo a "phenomenon" and admitting he wanted the winger to join the Emirates.
"I obviously want that. He is a phenomenon. I told everyone, he is a phenomenon. If I had to decide, of course I would have wanted him to go to Arsenal," said the Brazilian centre-back.
According to Spanish news agency Cadena SER, there is a real chance that Rodrygo will join Arsenal. The Brazilian still has 3 years left on his contract at the Bernabeu. This gives Real Madrid a solid position and is expected to demand a price of about 90 million Euros.

The report added that Arsenal are not the only club interested in Rodrygo. Manchester City have also always chased the Brazilian striker, while Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also considered recruiting him.
Rodrygo is playing for Real Madrid at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and his future is a regular topic of discussion for new coach Xabi Alonso. "He's a Real Madrid player, and I'll talk to everyone because we need to do that.
We will talk to each other. He's a great player and we need him. I know what happened, when the end of last season was not easy for him. Rodrygo has spent a good amount of time getting back on his feet," Alonso said when asked about Rodrygo's future.
At the Bernabeu, competition with young names such as Arda Guler and Franco Mastantuono has reduced Rodrygo's playing opportunities. Moreover, Rodrygo's influence cannot be compared to Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.
Of course, Real Madrid are not under financial pressure to sell players, but if Rodrygo proactively demands to leave after the FIFA Club World Cup, the possibility of this deal taking place is completely reasonable.

The conversation between the Brazilian international and Alonso in the coming days is considered a key factor. And if nothing changes, Rodrygo could well be the next big name to leave the Bernabeu in the summer transfer window.
To increase their shopping budget, Arsenal are looking to sell some players. Kieran Tierney and Jorginho left on free transfers, while Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos joined Lazio and Cruzeiro respectively.
Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior could also move this summer, while Arsenal will look to make a living from Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard. Bayern Munich have been linked with a move for Martinelli, while Trossard is attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League.
