On the evening of June 26, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) said it had sent an official dispatch to the Radio, Television and Electronic Information Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), requesting to handle advertising violations against a fanpage named "G genuine Hoang Meli Pharmaceutical Agency" for posting content advertising food in violation of regulations.
This move is part of a series of activities of the peak month from May 17 to June 17, 2025, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg dated May 15, 2025 and Directive No. 13/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2025. The Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) has implemented a peak month to fight against and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights in the field of food safety from May 17 to June 17, 2025 with many synchronous solutions.
Along with that, the Food Safety Department has also sent 9 official dispatches to the Domestic Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City and the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department, requesting coordination in checking and handling false advertising information about weight loss products of individuals using nicknames "Ngan 98" and "Ngan collagen".
The Food Safety Department discovered that the two products "Back apples off belly fat" and "N-Collagen Lemon Plus" were advertised by an individual nicknamed "Ngar Collagen" in violation of regulations. Both products have not been granted a certificate of acceptance of advertising and confirmation of advertising content.
The Department also received a report from the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City on the inspection of business activities of weight loss products advertised by DJ Ngan98, including: X100, weight loss drink X3 (Super Detox X3) and X7 Plus.
According to the report, distributors such as Zubu Company and Ngan 98 Company have temporarily stopped operations, are no longer at the registered address and have lost contact, so it is not possible to verify whether the above products are still in circulation or not. The Food Safety Department has issued a document requesting market management forces and localities to check, collect samples and handle if violations are detected.
In the activity of controlling e-commerce, the Food Safety Department has transferred 16 violating links to the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Market Management Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) for inspection and handling. At the same time, an official dispatch was sent requesting Shopee and Lazada to remove products without receipt of registration for product announcements being offered for sale on these two platforms.
During the peak month, the Department also organized surprise inspections at 17 establishments producing and trading functional foods in 5 provinces and cities: Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Dong Nai, Nam Dinh and Hanoi. Through inspection, 1 establishment was found to be violating the label, 2 establishments were violating advertising, 1 establishment violated 4 acts related to production and business conditions. There are 4 establishments that do not operate at the registered business address.
The Food Safety Department is consulting with ministries and branches on increasing administrative fines in the field of food safety, while continuing to closely coordinate with competent authorities to strictly handle violations, protect the rights and health of consumers.
