Start and end time
There are some milestones that fans need to keep in mind about the transfer market. English clubs can transfer domestic players from 14.6 but cannot buy players from other countries until before 1.7.
September 1 is the time when the player transfer market in Europe will completely re close. In the UK, the deadline is 11 hours (local time). In Italy, France, Spain and Germany, the following summer transfer window will close.
This is a summer transfer window that is expected to explode in England because the players' prices are skyrocketing. In the same period last year, the Premier League spent nearly £2 billion on transfers and this figure will increase over time. The reason is that the general price level of players at the highest playground in the foggy country is increasingly being raised.
With the mid-season transfer window, the Premier League confirmed it will start from 0:00 on January 1, 2024 and end at 23:00 on February 1, 2024 (local time). These are always important milestones for teams, agents and clubs to be proactive in transactions.
Potential deals
Up to now, although the "bomb explosion" has not been officially announced, the teams in the Big Six have been negotiating and finalizing expensive contracts.
Some of the potential deals include Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane being linked with Manchester United. Both of these strikers are priced at over £100 million. Not stopping there, the "Red Devils" still want to spend about 100 million pounds to welcome an additional midfielder and a central defender. Man United are expected to spend around £200 million on player buyings (including sales) this summer.
Arsenal are actively contacting Chelsea's Kai Havertz to find a replacement for Gabriel Jesus. The German striker's price is not cheap, at an expected price of more than 80 million pounds. After running out of steam in the Premier League race against Man City last season, the "Gunners" are determined to add more quality players and not be as competitive as usual.
Liverpool will part ways with 11 players this summer and the £35 million signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton is just the first sign of a major overhaul. The Kop did not hide their ambition to bring at least another "blockbuster" to Anfield after spending big on Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez last season but were ineffective.
Chelsea and Tottenham are the two teams that could leave the players immobile but for different reasons. The Blues have bought too much, more than £500 million in the previous 2 sessions. As for Spurs, they are almost out of budget and are calculating a way to sell Kane at a high price to start over with new captain Ange Postecoglou.
Defending champions Man City have yet to have any notable news about the transfer. They are the team with the biggest position at the moment and often do not take much time to negotiate if they have targeted any player. It was almost impossible that the treble of the past three seasons was enough for Man City to become a magnet to attract talent, the problem was just who Pep wanted to use.
