For the first time in history, Manchester United fans have to pay £102/ away ticket. Barcelona has listed this price for the second leg between the two teams in the Champions League quarter-finals on April 17.
It is not uncommon for the home team to increase ticket prices for away team fans higher than normal, but increasing them to 102 pounds/ticket for a position in the corner of the Nou Camp stands is considered "cut-off". Therefore, the M.U leadership must take action.
Specifically, they will give a 25% discount to any fan who can buy tickets for the return match and travel from England to Spain to support the club.
"In this case, we believe the NHM has suffered a very high price from the home team Barcelona.
We want fans to only pay the same price as a ticket to watch the first leg at Old Trafford. Therefore, the club decided to pay 27 pounds/ticket to each spectator to come to the stadium to watch the return match," announced the Man United homepage.
Up to now, M.U has recorded that more than 4,600 fans have booked tickets for the return match at Nou Camp to cheer for the home team. This is a huge source of motivation because in terms of strength and class, Barca is still a few places ahead of M.U at the moment.
The first leg of the match between the two teams will take place at 2:00 a.m. on April 11, the second leg will start at 2:00 a.m. on April 17 (Vietnam time).
