Jadon Sancho is ready to return to Manchester United this summer, but only when coach Erik ten Hag leaves Old Trafford.
The English striker played impressively during his 6 months on loan at Dortmund and the German team could not hide their ambition to buy a deal. However, the price offered by the "Red Devils" is said to be about 50 million pounds, beyond Dortmund's ability.
Moreover, the 24-year-old player himself still wants to return to Old Trafford to build a career. Of course, if Ten Hag is still in charge, Sancho's wish will be difficult to fulfill.
Sancho has been boycotted at Man United due to controversy over a social media post about Ten Hag. The English player was determined not to apologize even though he later deleted the post.
Recently, Ten Hag also publicly stated that Man United was happy that Sancho played well at Dortmund. However, the "happy" Ten Hag mentioned was that Man United would sell Sancho at a high price, instead of welcoming him back to Old Trafford.
This is almost an affirmation to put a stop to all of Sancho's hopes if Ten Hag is not sacked by Man United. The Dutch strategist's future is also unclear. The "Red Devils" leadership is still considering very carefully before making a final decision. Thomas Tuchel, Thomas Frank and Mauricio Pochettino are all considered potential replacements for Ten Hag.
With Sancho, this striker had a series of impressive performances to help Dortmund reach the Champions League final. Although he lost to Real Madrid, it cannot be denied that Sancho is gradually regaining the image that Man United was hungry for.
That is the reason why Sancho does not want to give up Man United even though he is being sought after by Dortmund. Sancho joined Old Trafford from Dortmund for £73 million in 2021. The winger has made 82 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 12 goals and providing 6 assists.
And most likely, if Dortmund cannot buy Sancho this summer, Man United will continue to let the 24-year-old striker leave on loan.
"I am really happy that Sancho is with us. Playing in the final match at home, it was a very special moment for him.
You can feel the joy he brings in the dressing room. I am very happy to work with Sancho. We don't know what the future will be like. But it will definitely give him a Champions League final," Edin Terzic said before the Champions League final.
