Earlier this week, Madrid filed an official complaint with the Spanish Football Association (RFEF), expressing their anger at Espanyol's decision not to fire defender Carlos Romero, for a dangerous tackle on Mbappe. Romero then scored to help Espanyol beat Real Madrid 1-0.
Speaking at a meeting between La Liga clubs with RFEF and the CTA refereeing agency - which Real Madrid chose not to attend, Tebas said Madrid were "insane" about the issue and said the club had "built a story about victims".
Before the derby against Atletico Madrid, Ancelotti said: "That is something I don't want to discuss before such an important match. But Tebas can stay calm. No one here is out of mind. We have asked for an explanation of what happened, to try to improve everything, to try to change the system.
Real Madrid have asked the federation to release recordings of the conversation between referee Alejandro Muniz Ruiz and video referee assistant Rafael Iglesias Villanueva surrounding Mbappe's foul, as well as Vinicius' previously unrecognized goal.
Ancelotti said that demand has not been met so far, although Chairman of RFEF Rafael Louzan said the federation "has nothing to hide".
"According to what I heard, no one was satisfied with the referee. People think it is a biased system for Real Madrid, but when Real Madrid wanted to change it, everyone objected. That surprised me a little. We have not received the recording. I don't know why they didn't want to give it to us. Everyone has to ask them, Ancelotti added.
Atletico have heated up the heat ahead of the derby with social media posts, accusing Real of "putting pressure on referees" through their TV channel, Real Madrid TV.
In a pre-match press conference, Atletico coach Diego Simeone criticized Real Madrid once again.
"I don't think about what the referee will do, but what we will do," he said. We are thinking about the match we have to play. I focus on the match, the media needs to have an answer for this controversy, while we only think about the upcoming match."
When asked if Madrid were pressuring the referee, Ancelotti replied: "As far as I know, no. Real Madrid want to change a system they don't like. We only asked for the recording. Sometimes, the information is published, sometimes not. We do not ask for any secret."
Ancelotti said he is focusing on finding a balance between the team's world-class attack, including Mbappe, Vinicius, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo, with the interim defense being hit hard by injuries.
He emphasized: "4 attack players have scored about 60 goals, a very large number. We are facing an emergency situation in the defense. They have done very well in attack, but the team also needs their support in defense. Defense is a problem for everyone, including the strikers. This is a common problem for the whole team.
Real Madrid are leading La Liga with 49 points, 1 point ahead of Atletico Madrid. In the first leg, the two teams drew 1-1. With the defense losing all the key players, Real will face many difficulties against Atletico - the team that has won 19/21 recent matches.
The Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid match will take place at 3:00 a.m. on February 9.
