Chelsea won the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after defeating PSG 3-0 in the final, thanks to a double from Cole Palmer and a goal from Joao Pedro in the first half.
"The Blues" also became the first English team to win the FIFA Club World Cup twice in a row.
However, Chelsea's joy of victory was overshadowed by the post-match fighting. Tensions exploded when Joao Pedro argued with Donnarumma and Hakimi. Coach Luis Enrique intervened but suddenly took action, which was believed to be hitting Pedro in the face, causing the striker to hug his face.
The situation became chaotic when many Chelsea players, including Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia rushed in to defend their teammates. Donnarumma was pushed by centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo, while Kimpembe tried to block the opponent. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca was then forced onto the pitch to pull his players out of the push-up.
The match was already hot with 6 yellow cards and 1 red card for PSG midfielder Joao Neves in the 85th minute. After the match, coach Enrique said he just wanted to "prevent things from getting worse, while Maresca praised his players and affirmed that the victory was decided from the first minutes.
Returning to the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, Chelsea officially joined the group of the most successful clubs, along with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Corinthians.
