On the afternoon of April 4 (Vietnam time), midfielder Kevin De Bruyne revealed that he will leave Man City when his contract expires at the end of the season.
In a social media post starting with the words to Manchester, De Bruyne confirmed:
These will be my last months as a Manchester City player. It's not easy to write about this, but as players, we all know that this day will eventually come. That day has now come and you deserve to hear it from me first.
He added: This city. This club. These people... gave me everything. I have no choice but to repay everything! And think - we have won everything together. Whether we like it or not, it is time to say goodbye... All stories must end, but this is definitely the best chapter. Let's enjoy these last moments together."
At the end, he wrote: "Suri, Rome, Mason, Michele and I are extremely grateful that this place is meaningful to our family. Manchester will forever be in our children's passport - and more importantly, in the hearts of each of us. This will always be our house".
The Belgian has helped City win 6 Premier League titles and 1 Champions League title since signing a contract with the club in 2015.
