In early April 2025, the approach road and the final span on the Pho Day River overpass of the Son Duong town bypass project (Tuyen Quang) are being urgently constructed after land problems have been resolved.
According to the records, workers are focusing on completing the bridge deck and railing, while the approach road section intersecting with km188 of National Highway 37 is under construction, synchronously connecting with the bridge.
The Pho Day River Overpass Bridge with a value of over VND50 billion is the largest item in the Son Duong town bypass project, over 4km long, with a total investment of over VND329 billion. The project is invested by the Department of Transport of Tuyen Quang province (now the Department of Construction), starting construction in November 2021.

In 2024, the construction area of the Pho Day River Overpass will encounter problems with the clean water pipeline of Son Duong town, so the construction must be temporarily suspended while waiting for the pipeline and underground infrastructure to be relocated.
After having the site in early 2025, the construction of the final items of the Pho Day River overpass will be resumed.
Nearby, the last 400m of this road has hard rock foundation, so the construction has to take longer than expected. Because it is near residential areas, stone breaking cannot be done with blasting and can only be drilled and bulldozed by specialized machines.

Currently, the drilling and breaking of hard rock is about to be completed. A representative of the construction unit (27/7 Company Limited) said that due to the hard rock foundation, the design of some items such as positive slopes, sidewalks, drainage systems, and construction progress is being accelerated.
After more than 3 years of implementation, most of the items of the Son Duong town bypass project have been completed. The entire route has basically been paved with asphalt concrete, sidewalks, lighting systems, signs and lane markings.

The first section of the route intersecting with Km183 QL.37 has now been fenced off and warning signs have been installed to prevent vehicles from entering to ensure safety during the construction process.
According to the investor, the project has now completed over 95% of the volume. The items of the river overpass and the background of 400m at the end of the route are being accelerated. It is expected that the entire route will be completed and put into use in the second quarter.2025.
