Kylian Mbappe scored twice in the second half at the Bernabeu - the first after an assist from Federico Valverde and the second from the penalty spot. These were also the French striker's first goals for Real Madrid after a three-game "goal drought" in La Liga.
"The pressure is on me to adapt to the team. I have scored goals throughout my career, I will definitely score. The goals will come. Three games without scoring is too much for me, but it's okay, I have the confidence of my teammates" - said the Real Madrid striker.
Mbappe opened the scoring for Los Blancos against Atalanta in the European Super Cup last month, but has since failed to score against Real Mallorca, Real Valladolid and Las Palmas in La Liga. In the three games Mbappe has failed to score, Real Madrid have also drawn two.
"There is no pressure, it's football. I have my qualities. I'm here to be Kylian. There is no pressure. I'm happy, I want to work," Mbappe said.
Mbappe had a total of nine shots in the match against Betis but failed to score until he put the ball into the net in the 67th minute.
"It was a great moment. I was waiting to score in this legendary stadium, the best stadium in the world. The fans gave me a lot of affection, even when I didn't score," the Frenchman told Real Madrid TV.
Meanwhile, coach Carlo Ancelotti also shared the same opinion with his student. "We never put pressure on Mbappe to score. Kylian had a good match. He was very effective in the penalty area, he took his chances, he worked hard.
Scoring goals is important for him, but we appreciate the collective effort of the whole team."
Coach Ancelotti also praised Mbappe's teammate Vinicius, who was fouled leading to the penalty and let Mbappe take it. "Vinicius was very selfless in letting Kylian take the penalty. They have a good relationship."
Real Madrid are currently second in La Liga, four points behind leaders Barcelona going into the international break.
