Man City came back against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium in round 7 of the Premier League on the evening of October 5.

Man City host Fulham after dropping points in their last game against Newcastle. Coach Pep Guardiola has chosen Phil Foden to start in the Premier League for the first time this season. Injuries to Kevin De Bruyne, Nathan Ake and Rodri have made it difficult for them to maintain their tactical system.

With home advantage, City started the game in an attacking position and had two clear opportunities from Gundogan and Foden.

However, it was quite surprising when Fulham was the team that opened the score. In the 26th minute, Raul Jimenez's header surprised Akanji, Andreas Pereira reacted very quickly and defeated Ederson with an easy shot.

City's spirit declined after the goal. Fortunately, they soon had an equalizer. In the 31st minute, from a corner kick, the ball found Kovacic and he fired a shot through the crowd, into the roof of Fulham's net.

This goal was very important for the confidence of The Citizens players. At the beginning of the second half, Bernardo assisted Kovacic to handle skillfully to put the home team ahead.

In the lead, Man City slowed down and Fulham started to put more pressure. To regain control of the ball, Pep Guardiola brought on John Stones to replace Phil Foden.

In the 81st minute, Jeremy Doku played delicately before scoring a great shot to increase City's advantage.

In the 88th minute, after a smooth combination, Rodrigo Muniz had space between the penalty area and shot diagonally to reduce the score to 2-3. Man City went through the final minutes of the match full of tension, but still maintained the victory. The Citizens still maintain second place in the group, 1 point behind Liverpool.
