Manchester United has recruited two new recruits this summer but clearly, their transfer plans cannot be stopped yet. The 8th place in the Premier League last season shows how great the need to improve the "Red Devils" squad is.
The decision to listen to offers for almost the entire squad speaks volumes as Man United eyes big changes under new owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Ten Hag has strong support from the board of directors, as shown by two new contracts, Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro. However, there are still many issues to resolve at Old Trafford with many players also likely to leave.
Casemiro and Antony are two of Ten Hag's signings that didn't work out as expected, but both could stay. This has hindered Man United 's ambitions with a limited budget.
Jarrad Branthwaite's price range
Jarrad Branthwaite has had an impressive rise in Everton colors and attracted the attention of Man United. It is believed personal terms have been agreed and Branthwaite also wants to move to Manchester. However, The Toffees rejected two offers and wanted about 70 million pounds for the English midfielder to leave.
Branthwaite has been offered a new deal to remain on Merseyside. Everton is willing to pay a salary of 160,000 pounds a week like Man United proposed. The Toffees have sold Amadou Onana for £50 million and this could help them solve their financial problems.
Is De Ligt still an option?
There was information a few weeks ago that Man United had finished negotiating with Bayern Munich on the Matthijs de Ligt deal. However, everything has calmed down.
Bayern want to collect at least £40 million if they let De Ligt leave. Despite the significant loss compared to the amount of money spent to recruit De Ligt from Juventus, the "Gray Tigers" still accepted. However, Man United is said to have not yet made an official offer, although the Dutch midfielder really wants to leave.
After signing Yoro from Lille for more than 50 million pounds, the "Red Devils" can hardly recruit 3 midfielders at the same time. More likely, they will pursue De Ligt or Branthwaite, depending on who achieves the first breakthrough.
Wan-Bissaka swap
Aaron Wan-Bissaka could leave Old Trafford this summer, about 5 years after joining Man United for £50 million. No longer the top priority in defense, the English defender rejected West Ham's offer.
Man United is currently hoping to use Wan-Bissaka in swap deals. Instead of accepting a sale at a loss, the "Red Devils" want Wan-Bissaka to move to Inter Milan, the team is still very open about an agreement.
Denzel Dumfries will move to Man United in the opposite direction. The Dutch player is actually no longer used at Inter Milan. Dumfries often makes headlines at international tournaments and could suit Ten Hag's requirements, especially if they don't have to spend any extra money.
