Marcus Rashford and his relatives have pushed for a move to Barcelona as the 2024-2025 season ends. Rashford's brother Dwaine Maynard even flew to Spain to meet Barca's sporting director Deco.
Rashford also arranged an interview with Youtuber xBuyers, in which he expressed his admiration for Lamine Yamal and wanted to play with this young star. However, these speculations seem to be led by Rashford rather than Barca.
Blaugrana seemed to have successfully signed Nico Williams for 58 million Euros. However, Williams' decision to extend his 10-year contract with Athletic Bilbao has brought Rashford back to Barcelona's sight.
Although Barca wants to sign long-term contracts with both Williams and Luis Diaz, all information from Camp Nou shows that they only want to borrow Rashford.

Barca's view is contrary to Man United's wishes, which is to sell this player for about 40 million pounds. There are a number of reasons for this.
First, the "Red Devils" want to end the disruption caused by the rift between Rashford and coach Ruben Amorim. Their despair of wanting Rashford to leave can be clearly seen in the fact that rookie Matheus Cunha was given the No. 10 shirt.
Second, Man United need a significant transfer fee as they are also struggling financially. It is easy to understand that they cannot increase personnel if they do not sell players.
But it has been more than six weeks since the transfer window opened, with no official offers for Rashford. This is not surprising as Rashford's estimated £325,000-a-week salary is out of reach for most clubs, except for Europe's top teams and the Saudi Pro League's top teams.
Furthermore, Rashford has not featured as a top player since his peak in February 2023.
As a result, Man United may have no choice but to accept a loan deal, as they will at least save about £17 million in salary per year. But even without having to pay the transfer fee, Barca will not be able to automatically register Rashford due to their deadlock in La Liga.
However, it is clear that they will easily make up for the financial deficit, rather than having to pay a large transfer fee in addition to Rashford's salary.

Rashford's current salary at Old Trafford will make him the second highest-paid player at Barca. However, there is information that he is willing to accept a salary reduction to join the Catalan team.
The move to Barca would be a big win for the striker, a major step forward as his career seems to be on the decline. And while it seemed like a wild dream just a few weeks ago, it is now becoming more feasible.
