Marcus Rashford has made no secret of his intention to join Barcelona. The 27-year-old Manchester United star seems to have no future at Old Trafford after losing the support under coach Ruben Amorim and being loaned out in the second half of last season.
Rashford's brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, was seen meeting Barca's sporting director Deco in Catalunya last month. The England international joined Aston Villa on loan in January, but the Villa Park side seem to have decided not to buy him for £40 million.
That is the fee that the "Red Devils" are still waiting for and if they do not find a new destination, Rashford will return to Man United to train before the season. But if Barcelona can reach a deal, Rashford will definitely be very happy.

Speaking during his vacation in Marbella, Rashford was asked by Spanish YouTube channel XBuyer if he would like to play with Barcelona's idol Lamine Yamal in the future. "It's okay. Everyone in the world wants to play with the best players. So, we hope we will see" - the English striker replied.
Continuing to praise Yamal, Rashford said: "He is playing at the highest level, I think we have never seen that at 16, 17. Yamal has special skills and he will continue to improve a lot.
Depending on which criteria people evaluate based on. If we only consider his ability to play football, I think he can completely win the Ballon d'Or. But Ousmane Dembele already has the Champions League. Depending on how you perceive it. I will not be disappointed if one of them wins."
The 27-year-old later sent a message to Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick, suggesting that he could be a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski in the striker position. "For me, as I get older, the number 9 position becomes more comfortable and more natural," said the Man United player.
Barca fans will also take note of Rashford's thoughts on life in Spain. "Speen is beautiful, not too far from home. If I practiced for a long time, my family could have gone there for a few days. It's a beautiful place and the weather is good" - Rashford shared.
Rashford also revealed how much he admired former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry as a child. "Henry plays comfortably on the left and in the middle, moving freely. When I was young, I always liked to watch Henry's clips," the 27-year-old added.

Last month, Barcelona sporting director Deco publicly said he liked Rashford and Liverpool winger Luis Diaz. Rashford's problem is that the Blaugrana are speeding up the recruitment of Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams.
The Camp Nou team is said to have reached an individual agreement with the EURO 2024 champion. Flick wants to soon complete the recruitment of one of the most talented wingers in Europe.
