Newcastle booked their place in the final of the English League Cup after beating Arsenal 4-0 on aggregate.

In the early morning of February 6 (Vietnam time), Newcastle entered the second leg of the English League Cup semi-final with a 2-goal advantage. They almost had a dream start at St James' Park when they scored against Arsenal in the 7th minute. However, the referee ruled the goal out due to offside.

In the 19th minute, Isak beat Gabriel and William Saliba, and hit the post. The ball bounced right to Jacob Murphy, who easily kicked the rebound into the empty net. The aggregate score was raised to 3-0, posing a big challenge for the Gunners.

It was more difficult when at the end of the first half, Gabriel Martinelli had to leave the field due to a hamstring injury, giving way to Ethan Nwaneri.

The visitors' spirits were gradually affected and mistakes were made. Early in the second half, goalkeeper Raya passed back to Declan Rice, but Fabian Schar closed in and stole the ball. Anthony Gordon took advantage of this situation to turn and score a beautiful goal, bringing Newcastle closer to the final at Wembley.

With the situation on the pitch, all hopes of Arsenal coming back were over. The Gunners focused on defense to avoid losing by a large margin, no longer having much desire to find a goal.

In the end, Newcastle won 2-0, thereby winning all 3 matches against Arsenal this season. This is the first time in the history of The Magpies to achieve this achievement.

Eddie Howe's team will face either Tottenham or Liverpool in the final. Newcastle have reached the final of the English League Cup twice in the past three seasons, aiming to bring home their first major trophy in 70 years.
