Arsenal will have the opportunity to recruit Viktor Gyokeres after the striker informed Manchester United that he did not want to join Old Trafford. However, the bad news for The Gunners is that Bayern Munich are currently participating in the race to sign Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners are looking for a new No. 9 player and Gyokeres and Sesko are their top targets. Both are expected to leave their clubs in the summer of 2025 after great seasons.
And after weeks of waiting to know which striker Arsenal will sign, it seems we are getting closer to the answer.

Man United's admiration for Gyokeres has been clearly recognized. The "Red Devils" even appointed former Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim at the beginning of the 2024-2025 season.
The Portuguese press said that Gyokeres' representative had informed Man United that the 27-year-old would not move to Old Trafford.
With Man United no longer seem to be on Gyokeres' radar, Arsenal can negotiate without any challenges. The Emirates team is preparing to make a second offer to the Swedish star.
However, Arsenal will face more competition with Sesko's case. The striker was widely linked with the Gunners last summer before signing a new contract with RB Leipzig.
Bayern Munich targets Sesko as an ideal successor to Harry Kane. Therefore, they can compete with Arsenal to sign this striker in the coming weeks.
German press revealed that Bayern also tried to sign the 22-year-old striker last summer. And like Arsenal, they have not completely given up pursuing the Slovenia player. However, the "Gray Tigers" have not yet negotiated officially like the London team.
With Gyokeres wanting to move to the Emirates and fierce competition for Sesko, a deal with the former Coventry City player could now be even more attractive for Arsenal.

The Gunners are extremely busy in the summer transfer window of 2025 with the move to recruit Martin Zubimendi. The negotiations with the Spanish international are in the advanced stages and are awaiting completion for a medical examination.
Zubimendi is set to almost move to the Premier League last summer to join Liverpool. However, this deal broke down at the last minute.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is also of interest to Arsenal in the search for the number 2 goalkeeper. They are willing to spend £5 million on Kepa, the goalkeeper who played on loan at Bournemouth last season.
