Real Madrid star Rodrygo is said to have decided to stay and strive for an official position at the Bernabeu next season. The "big guys" in the Premier League such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are all paying attention to the Brazilian striker.
Rodrygo looks set to leave the Spanish capital this summer, having fallen out of favor under new manager Xabi Alonso. Former Bayer coach Leverkusen let him sit on the bench in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 semi-final loss to PSG.
When asked about that decision, Alonso said he needed "other players" for the match but also admitted that he had not made a final decision on the winger's future.

Rodrygo's path to the first team will certainly be challenging, with Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius being the top options in attack. Meanwhile, young talents such as Endrick and Gonzalo Garcia are also competing fiercely for a starting position.
However, according to Spanish media, Rodrygo is "betting" on staying at Madrid, believing that he has enough qualities to be on Alonso's shortlist.
Arsenal were once considered the leading candidate to recruit this winger. However, after signing Noni Madueke, Rodrygo's chance to Emirates seems to have come to an end.
Liverpool have also spent a lot of money this summer, with nearly £300 million. Therefore, they are unlikely to have enough budget to recruit Rodrygo when focusing on buying Alexander Isak for £150 million.
Tottenham have owned Brennan Johnson and new signing Mohammed Kudus on the two wings, making Rodrygo's chances here very limited.
Spanish media confirmed that "there is no sign of Rodrygo leaving the club" and that there are also "no significant offers" from other clubs. Therefore, he had no choice but to continue staying.

The source also said that Rodrygo believes he can convince Alonso and integrate well into the system at the Bernabeu.
In addition, Real Madrid have never intended to take this player off. They will only consider a transfer if they receive an offer of £78 million or more.
Rodrygo has become a key factor in Madrid since moving for £40 million in 2018. He has made 270 appearances, scored 68 goals and won 13 titles with the club.
