Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Director of Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs said that based on the actual situation, the Department will organize a seminar on the tradition of 80 years of building the State Organization sector and 60 years of establishing Dien Bien Provincial Department of Home Affairs in an appropriate form, instead of organizing exciting activities.
The Department of Home Affairs also assigned the Department's Office to advise on the development of a plan to organize donations, support and visit, encourage and support people affected and severely damaged by natural disasters in recent days in the spirit of mutual love, in order to contribute to helping people soon stabilize their lives.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province, from July 31 to August 4, the whole province had 10 deaths, 12 injuries, and more than 600 houses damaged. The total estimated property damage is over 700 billion VND.
In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.
