Harry Kane has not played a match since an ankle injury on April 9, causing Coach Pochettino many difficulties in the top 4 race in the Premier League as well as fierce matches in the recent Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals.
Tottenham's news shows that they will not reveal anything about the lineup they will use in the Champions League final until the afternoon of the match day.
The reason for this is because Pochettino is waiting as long as possible to be able to think carefully and thoroughly before making a decision that can be considered the most important in the club's history and certainly the biggest for both teams.
That is whether to put his brightest star on the field from the start, in a final match that was the most important in his career as coach and leader of Tottenham for the past 5 years.
Harry Kane has repeatedly stated that he is fully fit and has regained his best form to participate in the final match taking place at the weekend: "If the final match takes place tomorrow, I will have the ability and form to compete."
Despite his student's confidence, Pochettino has a lot to consider. This was an extremely complicated situation, mainly due to Kane's history of injuries.
Every time Kane has to " sit and play" for a long time and especially when he has been unable to play for a while due to an ankle injury it usually takes him a few games to get back to his best form. When he has just returned to the pitch, the English striker will appear a bit cumbersome, slow and lost to the whole team.
"This is an issue that we are thinking about and considering very carefully," the Spurs head coach admitted.
Understanding this, Mohamed Salah declared that he wanted to challenge himself by facing the best players of the Red Devils.
I want him to be in the final more. It's a good competition when you play in a top game like this. Harry Kane is a good player and he has proven that for many years, Salah shared in an interview with BT Sport.
Salah hopes that this year's final will be a much more positive experience than last year's Champions League final when he was substituted after only 31 minutes due to a poor play by Sergio Ramos, causing Liverpool to lose to Real Madrid.
Salah has scored 26 goals in all competitions for Liverpool this season, down from 44 "shoots" last season. However, he will once again be a key player for Liverpool's playing style in the match against Tottenham.
On the other side of the front line, despite being absent due to injury, Kane still has 24 goals in 39 appearances for Tottenham this season and will certainly be a big threat to Liverpool's defense if he is present in the final.
