Early this morning, Sir Alex returned to Old Trafford to direct the legendary Man Utd team to face the legendary Bayern Munich team. This match is to recreate the 1999 Champions League final, when M.U won the championship with a 2-1 victory over the Bavarians.
In this match, famous faces of M.U such as David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole all participated and created great excitement for fans.
In the 4th minute, current M.U coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still showed his attacking instinct when choosing the correct position to tap the ball into the opening goal. He had already come on as a replacement for Andy Cole.
In the following period, the legendary Man United team took the lead against the legendary Bayern team, and in the 30th minute, Yorke doubled the gap after an accurate finish. The legends of Old Trafford still partly retain their superior qualities.
Meanwhile, Paul Scholes still showed his extremely classy long-range passing ability. The fans at Old Trafford were relived with the moments when the Red Devils won a great "three-three" in 1999.
Bayern are not necessarily lacking in stars, but Stefan Effenberg, Lothar Matthaus or Makaay are too old to create a good game and put pressure on the well-organized defense from Jaap Stam.
In the 79th minute, the legendary M.U team scored the third goal against the opponent with the brilliance of Nicky Butt. In the 84th minute, Louis Saha put his name on the scoreboard after Jonathan Greening's clearance. In the last minute, David Beckham ended the historic "three-man" gratitude match with a shot from a tight angle, thereby setting the score at 5-0.
In the second half, Nicky Butt, Luis Saha and David Beckham scored in turn to complete the 5-0 victory for the legendary team M.U. In goal, legend Peter Schmeichel still played very solidly to keep a clean sheet for the Red Devils.
