Fire scene in Ho Chi Minh City that killed 3 people in the early morning

HCMC - As of the morning of April 2, the authorities were still blocking off and handling the scene of the fire that killed 3 people in District 8.

At about 2:20 a.m. on April 2, a fire broke out fiercely at a house on Mac Van Street, Xom Coi Ward, District 8 (HCMC), causing 3 casualties.

According to Lao Dong, until the morning of the same day, the fire scene was still sealed off, and many people gathered around the scene to watch.

Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc was also present at the scene to visit and encourage the victim's family, and require localities to investigate the cause soon, overcome the consequences and support the victims.

Ms. Hoa - a resident living near the scene - was still shocked after the fire.

Ms. Hoa said: "At that time, I was sleeping when I heard the fire alarm, ran out and discovered that the fire had covered the house, everyone tried to put out the fire but the fire spread quickly, so it could not be extinguished. This family has lived here for many years, and their circumstances are quite difficult".

The initial identities of the victims were identified as: Mr. H.A.D (born in 1979), Ms. L.T.B.T (born in 1998) and V.A.K (born in 2019, daughter of Ms. T).

The cause of the fire is still being investigated and clarified.
