This afternoon (October 22), in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Football Joint Stock Company (VietFootball) held a draw to schedule the matches and a technical meeting for the 2024 Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 7-a-side National Football Cup (VSC-S4) - Southern region.
Previously, VSC-S4 also officially started in 3 regions: the North (Hanoi), the Central (Da Nang) and the Central Highlands (Gia Lai). VSC-S4 in the South is the latest tournament to take place, starting this weekend, October 26 at Gia Dinh Stadium (Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City).
Based on their performance in VSC-S3 Southern region and SPL-S6, the 12 clubs participating in VSC-S4 Southern region were divided into 3 seed groups before the draw.
Accordingly, group A has the presence of An Bien, Bay Nui, Chim Canh Peng and WTeam. Four teams Bamboo, Dien Bach Khoa Ninh Thuan, An Nguyen Bao and Kun FC are in group B. Meanwhile, the defending champion Nghiem Pham Holdings is in group C with MyMy, STPFood and Thep Viet Thang.
Each team will compete in a round robin against each opponent in their group to determine the final ranking points. Then, the top two teams in each group and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the knockout round. The two teams participating in the final will represent the Southern region to participate in the national final round held in Ho Chi Minh City this December.
VSC-S4 in the Southern region promises to be an attractive tournament and attract the attention of many fans when the teams have invested heavily in personnel in this tournament. Along with the "stars" of grassroots football, many players who have played for the Vietnam national team, Vietnam U23 team and Vietnam futsal team will also participate in this playground.
