On October 9, the Launching Ceremony of the National 7-a-side Football Cup - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 took place in Hanoi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Training and Sports of Vietnam said: "In recent years, with the great efforts of Vietfootball, the 7-a-side Football Cup has been held regularly with high professionalism, attracting the participation of many clubs, creating a healthy playground, contributing to improving the professionalism of Vietnamese football, spreading the love of football, building a healthy lifestyle".
The leaders of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Administration hope that in the coming time, Vietfootball and its units will continue to join hands to develop 7-a-side football not only as a "specialty of Vietnam, but also to develop to the regions.
Since 2019, the national 7-a-side football tournament was held for the first time in the 3 regions of North - Central - South and then the national final round, marking an important milestone in the development journey of 7-a-side football, a type of football that is still considered a " national product", popular in Vietnam.
Every year, the tournament attracts the participation of many football teams from 3 regions, contributing to creating a widespread spread across the country.
In the past 2 years, the final round of the National 7-a-side Football Cup held in Ho Chi Minh City has brought a new breeze, marking the success and receiving high praise from experts as well as the enthusiasm of the audience.

This year, the National 7-a-side Football Cup - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 (VSC-S5) promises many other special and attractive points when gathering strong teams, representing the identities of many regions.
Accordingly, the North has 20 participating teams, including representatives from Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh... The South has 16 teams from Ho Chi Minh City along with the Western, Southeast, Central Highlands provinces... Meanwhile, the Central region in Da Nang has 8 teams competing.
After more than 2 months of competition in the 3-region qualifying round, the 8 teams with the best results will win tickets to the national finals.
According to the competition schedule, the Northern qualifying round will take place from October 12 to November 23 at the C500 football field of An Ninh University (Hanoi); the Southern qualifying round will start from October 11 to November 15 at Gia Dinh Stadium (HCMC); the Central qualifying round will take place from October 19 to November 16 at Dam Sen Stadium (Da Nang).
The national final round will be held from November 29 to December 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.
