This year, V.League clubs only have a short Tet holiday (about 5-6 days) due to their tight match schedules. Therefore, Vietnamese players still follow a strict diet and training regimen throughout the holiday.
Talking to Lao Dong, striker Pham Tuan Hai (Hanoi FC) said: "During the upcoming Tet holiday, I will still follow the normal diet of the team, not eating candy or some familiar Tet dishes.
In addition, I also practice at home, go to the gym, and exercise regularly to maintain my fitness. After Tet, the team will gather and compete early, so I cannot 'let loose'."
Meanwhile, Thanh Hoa club is the first team to "go to battle" abroad for Vietnamese football in 2025. On the 6th day of Tet, they left for Indonesia to prepare for the match against PSM Makassar within the framework of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Club Championship.
However, Thanh Hoa did not practice too early. Coach Velizar Popov gave the players a break from the 27th of Tet until the 2nd. Then, they started practicing from the 3rd.
The Thanh Hoa football team prioritizes letting players relax with their families after the recent stressful competition period. Before going home for Tet, they receive some bonuses and "tips" to have a budget for Tet shopping.
However, players like A Mit, Doan Ngoc Tan, Thanh Long... still follow the home training regimen like other vacations.
