On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, Ms. Vu Thi Hoa (District 6) chose a new experience to explore Ho Chi Minh City from the perspective of Metro train No. 1.
"Watching Ho Chi Minh City through the windows of metro train No. 1 during the traditional Tet holiday is an unprecedented experience. Through that, I love the city even more, and see many other beautiful corners of destinations that I have never seen before" - Ms. Hoa excitedly shared.
The operation of Metro Line No. 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien has contributed to the development of tourism. This metro line connects the central and eastern areas of Ho Chi Minh City, bringing residents and tourists closer to prominent attractions.
According to records, travel businesses in the city are ready to operate cultural, historical, spiritual, artistic, and culinary tours to connect Metro Line 1 with cultural, historical, entertainment, shopping sites, or iconic structures such as Ben Thanh Market, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Independence Palace, etc., along with many restaurants and cafes along the 14 stations.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, Metro Line 1 is not only a modern infrastructure project but also an important foundation for the development of green and sustainable tourism. The 19.7 km long metro line with 14 stations helps reduce traffic congestion, while opening up new opportunities to explore the city's unique cultural, historical and entertainment destinations.
In addition to Metro Line 1, means of transport such as double-decker buses, trams, and river buses will also be combined to create interesting and convenient experiences for people and tourists during Tet 2025.
To serve the needs of passengers flocking to the center of Ho Chi Minh City to have fun, watch fireworks, and celebrate the New Year 2025, Metro Line 1 will extend its operating hours on January 29 (the first day of Tet), from 0:30 to 2:00 and from 5:00 to 22:00.
From January 30 (the 2nd day of Tet) to February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), Metro Line 1 will operate from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.
