Patrik Le Giang was born in 1992, has Vietnamese and Slovakian nationality, and plays as a goalkeeper. He has played for Slovakia's U19 and U21 teams. He and his brother Emil Le Giang were famous overseas Vietnamese players in previous years. Currently, Patrik Le Giang is the number 1 goalkeeper of the Bohemians 1905, playing in the Czech Republic.
At the end of December 2020, the club's Bohemians Endowment Fund received a request for help from Miroslav - a supporter of the club. Miroslav has a son named Kubik with cerebral palsy and a series of health problems. To restore the unfortunate boy's function, Miroslav needs a large sum of 50,000 to 80,000 Koruna (a unit of currency of the Czech Republic) to cover the cost of a treatment course lasting 3-4 weeks.
This amount of money is beyond Miroslav's ability. Therefore, through the club's charity fund, this fan hopes to help. Immediately, Bohemians 190 players spoke up by auctioning items to raise funds. Striker Tomas Necid gave him his own jersey for auction. Goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang sent the gloves he used to compete for charity. Milan Havel, a Bohemians player but on loan to Viktoria Plzen, also sent a pair of shoes for the same purpose.
The items of Patrik Le Giang and his colleagues have been auctioned for more than 35,000 koruna. In addition, the team's Fund also mobilizes everyone to contribute more. In total, Patrik Le Giang's team collected 145,393koruna (nearly 160 million VND) to give to the boy Kubik, used for the treatment of cerebral palsy.
The actions of Patrik Le Giang as well as his colleagues made many people thank him. Bohemian 190 is a long-standing football team of the Czech Republic. They established a charity fund to help and support children with serious health problems or those in unfortunate circumstances. After helping Kubik, the Vietnamese goalkeeper's team called on everyone to contribute to the fund to serve other charitable activities in the coming time.
