The Vietnam team has officially announced the staff for the November 2025 gathering, preparing for the match against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
Accordingly, central defender Do Duy Manh continues to be trusted to be the captain. In addition, midfielders Nguyen Quang Hai and Nguyen Hoang Duc will take on the role of vice-captains. This trio of players are considered experienced and brave leaders in the current Vietnam national team.

He highly appreciated the professional spirit of the players, especially the maintenance of stable performance despite having just gone through a stressful period of competition in the V.League. The VFF President also sent his congratulations to Nguyen Xuan Son, who has just returned to the national team after nearly a year of injury treatment.
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized that the national team needs to maintain the highest concentration and determination, because each match in the qualifying journey is a key factor in winning a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup finals, while improving their position on the FIFA rankings.
In the role of captain, Do Duy Manh affirmed the determination of the whole team: "Each player, although having different roles, has the same goal of building a united team, overcoming difficulties and responding to the trust of fans".
For the Vietnam team, Xuan Son's return from injury brings more quality options for the attack. The striker born in 1997 is confident that he has fully recovered his physical strength and is ready to take the field to contribute.
According to the plan, the Vietnam team will travel to Laos on November 15, before facing the home team on November 19 in the second leg of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
