On November 20, at the headquarters of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, the program of signing the sponsorship contract for Thai Nguyen T&T women's football club for the period 2025-2030 and awarding the team took place.
Previously, in 2019, Thai Nguyen women's football faced many difficulties and was at risk of disbanding the team. The leaders of T&T Group decided to fully sponsor Thai Nguyen club for 5 years, raising the salary for players to a minimum of 6 million VND/month, and key players from 10 million VND/month or more.
In terms of achievements, in 2024, for the first time in history, Thai Nguyen women's football won the bronze medal in the national championship.
In the international women's football tournament with the participation of Hanoi team and 2 guest teams, Beijing FC (China) and Manila Digger (Philippines), new coach Van Thi Thanh helped Thai Nguyen T&T win the championship. That was a huge boost in spirit for the tea team.
After 5 years of cooperation with many positive results and being one of the typical examples of sports socialization, the two sides agreed to extend the contract for 5 years with a significantly increased sponsorship level compared to before.
Mr. Do Vinh Quang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group shared: "Rivals like Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi still maintain their strength, but Thai Nguyen women's football will certainly emerge as a new breeze, promising to change the situation of Vietnamese women's football in the near future.
It's too early to talk about something big. But the goal and ambition of the Thai Nguyen T&T women's team is to change the color of the medal in the following seasons, maybe right at the 2024 National Women's Cup football tournament that will start from November 28."
According to the commitment, T&T Group will support Thai Nguyen women's football team in building a development strategy, aiming for higher goals. With successful experience in managing, training, and developing men's football, the sponsor will also devote resources to support the selection, screening, training, and education of athletes; provide and guide the implementation of training programs to improve efficiency in training and competition...
Coach Van Thi Thanh said: "The fact that the Thai Nguyen women's team continues to be sponsored by T&T Group from 2025-2030 is of great significance to the coaching staff as well as the players.
Over the years, with this support, Thai Nguyen women's football has been stable and made remarkable progress. The coaches and players have improved their lives and income. Now, players on the field are no longer worried about food and money. They focus on going out on the field and contributing to Thai Nguyen women's football."
Also at the second sponsorship contract signing ceremony, Thai Nguyen T&T Club received more than 1.3 billion VND in bonuses after impressive achievements in 2024.
Of which, Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee awarded 702 million VND, T&T Group awarded 500 million VND, Thai Nguyen Football Federation awarded 50 million VND and Thai Nguyen Football Joint Stock Company awarded 50 million VND.
