Two overseas Vietnamese players Ashley Tram Anh and Chelsea Le have completed the procedures to wear the Ho Chi Minh City women's team jersey in the coming time.

The Ho Chi Minh City women's team has just completed the registration procedures for two overseas Vietnamese players, Ashley Tram Anh and Chelsea Le, to participate in the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League for women and the 2025 National Women's Football Cup.

Chelsea Le was born in 2001, and was honored as the "Best Midfielder of the Year 2024" of the West Coast Conference (WCC) university sports system in the US. Le started 36/37 matches for the Gonzaga University women's football team.

This is also Ashley Ton That Anh's club. She was born in 2002, 1m52 tall, playing as a midfielder. Tram Anh has played football and tennis since high school. Last year, Tram Anh was registered by the HCMC women's team to compete in the 2024 National Cup, but her transfer documents could not be completed before the deadline.

Chelsea Le also returned to Vietnam in 2019 but did not stay and has not been called up to the Vietnam women's national team at any level.

The addition of two overseas Vietnamese players will help coach Doan Thi Kim Chi feel more confident when participating in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League for women this season.

The Saigon team also has 2 new foreign players, American striker Sabrina Marie Cabrera and American center back Aubrey Rae Goodwill. The Ho Chi Minh City women's team will enter the quarter-finals in the European arena, against Abu Dhabi Country (UAE) on March 22.
