In the first half against Xa Store, the Vietnamese women's futsal team was the team that opened the score thanks to Bui Thi Trang, from a pass from captain Thanh Hang. Leading by 1 goal, the female strikers tried but could not double the gap and let the opponent equalize 1-1 in the last minute of the match from a counterattack.
In the second half, the Vietnamese women's futsal team continued to show their mettle when they once again took the lead 2-1, thanks to Tu Anh's shot that hit the opponent's leg and went into the net. However, in an open game, coach Dinh Hoang's players once again let the opponent score an equalizer in the middle of the match.
In the final minutes of the match, coach Dinh Hoang and his students deployed a power-play style to seek a victory at the beginning of the new year but failed and had to accept a 2-2 draw.
Evaluating his players, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said the second friendly match was the final evaluation step before the team entered the tournament.
“The coaching staff is satisfied with the match. We attacked well, created many opportunities, but still made some mistakes in defense. The coaching staff will edit and perfect the details to fix the shortcomings before leaving for the match,” said coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang.
It is expected that head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang will withdraw the list on January 12 before the Vietnam Women's futsal team leaves for the competition on January 13.
In the qualifying round of the 2025 Asian women's futsal tournament, which will take place from January 15 to January 19, the Vietnamese women's futsal team is in the same group with opponents Macau (China), Taiwan (China) and host Myanmar.
