This year's tournament brings together 8 teams, including: Thai Son Nam HCMC, Thai Son Bac, Sahako, Hanoi, Tan Hiep Hung HCMC, Saigon Titans HCMC, Luxury Ha Long and Tre HCMC.
On the opening day, fans witnessed two exciting matches. In the first match, Sahako showed their superior strength when facing Luxury Ha Long. Despite the opponent's defensive efforts, Sahako still had no difficulty winning 11-2.
Notable in this victory was the excellent performance of national player Dinh Cong Vien, who scored a hat-trick in the 1st, 12th and 28th minutes. The remaining goals of Sahako were scored by Van Sang (2 goals), Thanh Nguyen (2 goals), along with goals from Nhat Tien, Tran Duy, Nhat Trung and Phi Tien.
Luxury Ha Long played hard but could only score 2 goals thanks to Binh An and an own goal by Phi Tien.
The following match between Thai Son Nam HCMC and Hanoi was quite tense. Although being rated higher, Thai Son Nam HCMC encountered many difficulties against the capital team. Van Hoai opened the score for HCMC in the 5th minute, but Thac Hieu equalized for Hanoi in the 20th minute. It was not until the 32nd minute that the brilliance of young striker Thanh Phong helped Thai Son Nam win a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
