On September 16, in Hanoi, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) and FPT Play held a contract signing ceremony, when Sacombank became the main sponsor of the National First Division and National Cup season 2026-2027.
Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Chairman of VPF Company highly appreciates the trust, selection and companionship of the new sponsor for the tournaments in the 2026 - 2027 season. This will contribute to increasing the value, attractiveness and spread of the tournaments, and at the same time create more resources for VPF and clubs to continue to improve the quality of organization and expertise.
The 2026-2027 National First Division League has started from September 11 and is expected to end on May 16, 2027. The top two teams will win the right to play in the V.League next season.
Regarding prizes, the First Division champion team will receive 2 billion VND in prize money.
Meanwhile, the National Cup this season starts from September 18 and is expected to end on May 30, 2027. The champion team receives 2 billion VND and a ticket to participate in the Southeast Asian Champions League next season.
In the previous season, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club won the National Cup and then qualified for the ASEAN Club Championship. The tournament also continues to be one of the sources of players for national teams, when many faces are selected from the domestic professional football system.
