The Vietnamese futsal team had a good start with two consecutive wins at the 2024 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship. Coach Diego Raul Giustozzi and his team won 4-1 against Timor Leste and 2-0 against Malaysia.
This result helps the Vietnamese futsal team get 6 points and second place in group A and is considered to have set one foot in the semi-finals of this year's tournament.
In the third match, Minh Quang and his teammates will face the Brunei futsal team. If they defeat their opponents, Vietnam will definitely have a ticket to the knockout round.
Brunei is considered the weakest team in the group. After the first two matches, they lost 0-11 to Malaysia and 0-13 to Thailand, without scoring a single goal.
This is an opportunity for the Vietnamese futsal team to score many goals against their opponents before having a direct competition match for the top spot with Thailand in the final round.
