According to official letter No. 2329 of the Vietnam Football Federation sent to Hanoi Police on September 16, FIFA has issued a decision regarding the dispute between player Andrey Ramos do Nascimento (Brazil) and Hanoi Police.
The team has not fulfilled its financial obligations as determined in the ruling. This is the reason why FIFA applied disciplinary measures to the Vietnamese club.
The ban takes effect from September 15, applying to both domestic and international transfer markets. The Police sector team will only be granted a revocation of the penalty after completing the overdue payment according to FIFA's decision.
In case the obligation has not been resolved, the ban period can be extended to a maximum of 3 consecutive player registration periods. Thus, Hanoi Police are not allowed to register new recruits while the ban order is still in effect.
The penalty was issued when Hanoi Police were competing on 4 fronts including V.League, National Cup, ASEAN Club Championship and AFC Champions League Elite season 2026-2027.
Coach Alexandre Polking's team has won all 2 opening matches of the V.League season but just lost to Gamba Osaka 1-4 in the opening match of the AFC Champions League Elite.
During the limited registration period, Hanoi Police must maintain the current force and cannot add new players according to FIFA regulations.
In the immediate future, Hanoi Police will be guests against Dong Nai City team in the framework of the V.League postponed match taking place on September 20.
