Billionaire Nualphan Lamsam - President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) recently submitted a report to the police after discovering that her image and voice were forged with AI technology in an advertising video calling for investment and online gambling.
According to Siamsport, this video was edited from an official press conference clip of her, then edited and inserted with content to lure viewers to participate in betting and investing money through social media platforms.
The incident quickly attracted attention when the clip spread strongly, attracting a large number of viewers.
Madam Pang was quite shocked and angry when the incident was discovered. She appointed a private lawyer to file a complaint at Thonglor Police Station (Bangkok), and announced that she would pursue the lawsuit to the end according to the provisions of law.
Chairman FAT said he has never been involved with any online gambling platform and asked the public not to believe in such misrepresentations.
Madam Pang's representative attorney has also been authorized to handle the case at the highest legal level to protect her image and honor.
Siamsport newspaper emphasized that online gambling websites are illegal in Thailand, based on the 35 gambling Act. This law clearly stipulates penalties for both players and service providers, which can lead to criminal prosecution.
The public is advised to be cautious with content spread on social networks, avoiding becoming victims of high-tech scams.
