According to the match schedule, The Cong Viettel will face Hanoi Police in the "Capital derby" match right in the opening match of V.League. Evaluating this opponent, head coach Velizar Popov said: "We will meet all teams, so it is not important who is the first opponent. The most important thing is how you finish the season. But as usual, we will be determined to win the match".
Looking forward to the new 2025-2026 season, The Cong Viettel has recruited 9 new players, including 5 domestic players and 4 foreign players along with overseas Vietnamese players such as Vu Thanh, Colonna, Williams Lee Oliver Grant... This is also the season in which the army team has brought in the most new players in recent years.
At the launching ceremony, 4 players who recently won the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship with U23, Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Cong Phuong, Dang Tuan Phong, Nguyen Thanh Dat, received certificates of merit from the Minister of National Defense.
