On October 3, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a document to the Ministry of Justice requesting support in the naturalization of Vietnamese Vietnamese overseas Vietnamese player Patrik Le Giang - who is competing in the V.League for the Ho Chi Minh City Police club.
Accordingly, naturalizing Patrik Le Giang is part of the long-term orientation to improve the professional quality of the national team, preparing for important goals such as the World Cup qualifiers, Asian Cup and ASEAN Cup in the coming time.
This proposal was made after the Vietnam Football Federation and head coach Kim Sang-sik assessed the ability and stable performance of this overseas Vietnamese goalkeeper through recent professional seasons.
Patrik Le Giang was born on September 8, 1992 in Slovakia, with Slovakian nationality. From 2023 to present, Le Giang has played as a goalkeeper for Ho Chi Minh City Club and is currently the Ho Chi Minh City Police.
With international experience and stable performance, Patrik Le Giang is expected to be a valuable addition to the position of goalkeeper of the Vietnam team in upcoming tournaments.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism expressed its desire to receive support from the Ministry of Justice to complete legal procedures, helping this player qualify to wear the national team jersey in accordance with regulations.
