On the afternoon of January 13, the Vietnamese women's futsal team began traveling to Myanmar to participate in the qualifying round of the 2025 Asian women's futsal tournament. Before departure, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang finalized the final list of 14 players for the team.
The list of the Vietnamese women's futsal team participating in the Asian qualifying round includes 2 goalkeepers Tran Thi Hai Yen, Ngo Nguyen Thuy Linh and 12 players: Bui Thi Trang, Trinh Nguyen Thanh Hang, Le Thi Thanh Ngan, Nguyen Phuong Anh, Tran Nguyet Vi, Nguyen Thi Van Anh, K' Thua, Tran Thi Thuy Trang, Tran Thi Lan Mai, Tran Thi Thu Xuan, Nguyen Thi Tu Anh and Bien Thi Hang.
Thus, the 6 players who did not go with the team include: Dinh Nguyen Ngoc Linh, Le Trinh Khanh Linh, A Rat Rin To, Pho Ngoc Thanh Thy, Danh Lam Kim Phung and Ngo Thi Hong Nhung.
Evaluating the players and the results of the past 6 weeks of training, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said that the team had 2 friendly matches and the coaching staff was quite satisfied with the players' spirit. The goals set by the coaching staff regarding their skills were all well completed by the players and they were ready for the tournament.
“The 14 players selected for this tournament are those who are in the best form and are in line with the coaching staff’s intentions. The goal of the Vietnamese team is certainly not just to pass the qualifying round but to aim for the top spot in the group. We assess that the opponents in the group are not too superior to the Vietnamese women’s futsal team. Therefore, my team and I are determined to complete the set goal,” said coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang.
In the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship qualifying round taking place from January 15 to January 19, the Vietnamese Women's Futsal team is in the same group with opponents Macau (China), Taiwan (China) and host Myanmar.
