From careful preparation
Up to now, the Vietnam futsal team has had a month of preparation, from the force, tactics to the friendly matches. All went smoothly for coach Diego Giustozzi and his team.
In this training session, many potential faces have been honed with all skills and physical foundations by coach Diego Giustozzi to meet professional requirements.
The training plan in Kuwait and 2 friendly matches with the national futsal team, then traveling to China are also reasonable. This ensures the physical strength of the players, as well as more time to get used to the climate, the field at the location of the 2026 Asian Futsal qualifiers.
In China, the Vietnam futsal team is facilitated to travel and practice to get the best preparation before entering extremely important matches.
Most likely, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Anh Tu will also fly to China to cheer on coach Diego Giustozzi and his team in this tournament.
Careful preparation is the first factor to create a comfortable and exciting mentality for the players ahead of the 2026 Asian Futsal Qualifiers.
Opponents are all lining up to "come back"
According to the draw results, the opponents of the Vietnam futsal team in the 2026 Asian futsal qualifiers include: Hong Kong (China), host China and Lebanon.
On the FIFA rankings, all three opponents are below the Vietnam futsal team. In the past, the Vietnam futsal team has also had problems with all three opponents, and all have achieved positive results.
Most notably, there was a 1-1 draw with Lebanon after 2 play-off matches in 2021 (the Vietnam futsal team won thanks to the away goal rule), thereby winning a ticket to the 2021 Futsal World Cup Finals for the second time.

Regarding personnel, on the recent training journey, for various reasons, the Vietnam futsal team said goodbye to Ala Tran Nhat Trung and excellent striker Nguyen Minh Tri.
But with veterans like Duc Hoa, Doan Phat, Manh Dung, Thinh Phat, Ngoc Linh, along with young faces like Cong Vien Da Hai, Ngoc Anh, Cong Dai... creating a Vietnam futsal team that combines youth and experience, creating strength with diversity in playing style.
The Vietnam futsal team has passed the Asian futsal group stage 5 times in a row to reach the Asian Futsal Final Round. This will also be the fulcrum for Diego Giustozzi's students to aim for the 6th consecutive time in the continental futsal tournament.
