On the afternoon of September 17, the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council decided to convene the 33rd session - the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 to resolve the work under the authority of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council.
At the session, delegates elected the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, term XVIII, 2021-2026.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term was elected by delegates of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council as Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 18th term, 2021-2026.
Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh has political theory qualification: Senior; Master of Public Administration Management; Architect; Bachelor of English Literature.
Before 1,2005, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh was a specialist of the Department of Construction; Deputy Head of the Department, Head of the Department of Cultural ideology of the Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union, Provincial Party Committee member.
From January 1,2005, Mr. Hoai Anh became Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union. Since July 2007, he has been Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union. In March 2014, Mr. Hoai Anh was a member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Tuy Phong District Party Committee; Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, member of the Standing Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.
From December 2015, Mr. Hoai Anh has been a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee; from July 2019, he has been the Standing Vice Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Council; from October 2020, he has been the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Council; from January 2021, he has been an alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Council.
In March 2024, Mr. Hoai Anh was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.
On June 30, at the Ceremony to announce the Resolution and Decision of the Central and local governments on merging provincial-level administrative units including Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan into the new Lam Dong province held in Lam Dong, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh was appointed to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee from July 1, 2025.
On the morning of September 17, at the headquarters of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee coordinated with the Central Organizing Committee to organize the announcement of the Politburo's decision on the transfer, assignment, and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, and introduce him to be elected as Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
