Vietnam team's lineup lost contact
The Malaysian team had a completely overwhelming match with coach Kim Sang-sik's team.
With a squad of quality naturalized players, the Malaysian team makes it impossible for the Vietnamese team to deploy their playing style.
Mr. Kim Sang-sik admitted: "Although we have tried to analyze as much as possible, all 5 naturalized players of the opponent today have performed better than we expected."
The Malaysian team completely controlled the match, proactively dividing the entire Vietnamese team. Coach Kim Sang-sik does not use any real center forward in the starting lineup.
That is the reason why the deployment situations of the Vietnamese team could not put pressure on the Malaysian defense.

Meanwhile, the midfield of the Vietnamese team could not promote the inherent controllable playing style.
The Malaysian players were proactive in approaching, even organizing a better playing style, dragging the Vietnamese team along with their playing style.
Even when Quang Hai entered the field, the Vietnamese team still played at a deadlock. Most of the Vietnamese team's attacks were long balls, either being blocked by Malaysian defenders, or not at the right address.
These factors led to the entire Vietnamese squad almost losing contact throughout the match.
For the entire 90 minutes, the Vietnamese team could not create any notable opportunities in the Malaysia goal, completely opposite to what the home team did in the goalkeeper Filip Nguyen's goal.
Unfortunate mistakes
If it were not for luck and the excellence of goalkeeper Filip Nguyen, the Vietnamese team would have conceded an early goal in the first half.
And the first goal conceded early in the second half came from a personal mistake. Chau Ngoc Quang lost the ball from midfield after the control, but he was not determined to block the Malaysian player.
Figueiredo seized the opportunity to get the ball, escaped, fired a powerful shot that hit Duy Manh, poured into the opening goal of the match.

Then, in the second goal, Xuan Manh's slip created an opportunity for Aiman to escape quite easily and then passed the ball across to Rodrigo Julian Holgado to join the match, defeating Nguyen Filip.
The two quick goals immediately affected the fighting spirit of the Vietnamese team. Despite great efforts to find a way into the opponent's goal, with a high formation, the Vietnamese team conceded 2 more goals in the final minutes of the match.
This defeat caused the Vietnamese team to lose the top spot in the 2027 F Asian Cup to their opponent Malaysia, and also ended 11 years of not beating the Vietnamese team of Malaysia.
