On the afternoon of June 3, coach Yutaka Ikeuchi and his team completed their last training session before entering the second match of Group A.
The 3-0 victory over U19 Timor Leste helps U19 Vietnam gain a certain advantage in the race to win a ticket to the semi-finals. However, the coaching staff does not see that as a reason to be satisfied. Instead, the whole team continues to spend time analyzing the incomplete points in the opening match to better prepare for opponents with higher levels.

In the training session in Medan, the players focused on perfecting the ability to operate the playing style, increasing the connection between the lines and improving efficiency in finishing situations. In addition, the defense organization was also focused on when U19 Myanmar was assessed as a team with the ability to put more pressure than U19 Timor Leste.
The confrontation with U19 Myanmar is of great significance to the group A situation. According to the tournament regulations, only the 3 first-placed teams and 1 second-placed team with the best results will qualify for the semi-finals. Therefore, if they continue to win 3 points, U19 Vietnam will create a significant advantage before entering the crucial match with host Indonesia in the final round.
U19 Myanmar also entered the match with great determination after not having the desired result on the opening day. Therefore, the upcoming match is predicted to be much more competitive than the opening match of U19 Vietnam.

According to team leader Nguyen Anh Tuan, the force situation of U19 Vietnam is quite stable. The players all ensure good physical condition after days of training and competition in Indonesia. Getting used to the weather conditions as well as the field surface in Medan helps the whole team to have a more favorable preparation for the journey ahead.
The match between U19 Vietnam and U19 Myanmar will take place at 4:00 p.m. on June 4 at Sumatera Utara Main Stadium.
