On the afternoon of August 27, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the "Vietnam Football Support" program organized by Herbalife took place, with the participation of representatives of the U23 Vietnam coaching staff and the Vietnamese women's team. The two teams will receive support from businesses before departing to attend the Asian Games.
At the program, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu acknowledged the efforts and responsibility of the coaching staff and players in the process of preparing for ASIAD. This is a major continental congress, gathering many strong teams.
Vietnam's participation in both men's and women's football is an honor, and at the same time, it is expected that the teams will be confident, united, with the highest determination, and maximize their abilities to achieve the best results.
General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu emphasized that VFF appreciates Herbalife Vietnam's companionship in supporting and motivating the Vietnamese national teams. The support and encouragement programs before each tournament not only have spiritual significance for the players but also contribute to spreading the community's interest and encouragement for the teams.
Coach Hoang Van Phuc assessed nutrition as an important factor for women's football. He said: "Nutrition is very important for women's football. The companionship of sponsors is not simply financial support, but also spiritual concern, encouraging the Vietnamese women's team. Players can maximize their football potential".
At ASIAD 2026, men's football takes place from September 15 to October 3. Vietnam U23 is in the same group as Uzbekistan, Philippines and Kuwait.
Meanwhile, women's football takes place from September 14 to October 2, with the Vietnamese women's team in the same group as Japan, Taiwan (China) and Thailand.
