On the afternoon of August 26, in Hanoi, the signing ceremony and announcement of the administrative unit of the Qualifying Round (Group C) - 2026 U23 Asian Football Championship between the Vietnam Football Federation and Loc Phat Commercial Joint Stock Bank (LPBank) took place.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - VFF General Secretary highly appreciated the sponsors' support, considering this a meaningful source of encouragement for both the organization and U23 Vietnam. VFF also hopes that U23 Vietnam will confidently conquer a ticket to the 2026 U23 Asian Cup finals, thereby continuing to affirm the country's football position in the continental arena.

The 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers include 44 teams divided into 11 groups, competing in a round-robin to select 11 group winners and 4 best second-placed teams to enter the finals in Saudi Arabia in January 2026.
According to the draw results, U23 Vietnam is in Group C with Yemen, Singapore and Bangladesh. The matches in Group C will take place at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) from September 3 to September 9, 2025.
As part of the preparation plan for the important goals of the U23 Vietnam team in 2025, in addition to the efforts to host the U23 Vietnam group in the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers, VFF and coach Kim Sang-sik have proactively developed a long-term plan for the team's strength.
From the second half of 2024 to now, many players of the U22 age have been called up to the national team for FIFA Days to accumulate experience, improve tactical thinking and get acquainted with the intensity of international competition.

In addition, the team is also facilitated to participate in quality tournaments such as the U22 International Tournament in China in March 2025 with the participation of Uzbekistan, South Korea and host China.
Most recently, the U23 Vietnam team won the Southeast Asian U23 Championship for the third consecutive time after defeating host Indonesia in the final, creating more confidence before entering the continental qualifiers.
