According to Lao Dong's research, currently, on ticket buying and selling groups (social networks), online "ticket brokers" are selling a lot of tickets to watch the first leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final between Vietnam and Thailand.
The high price of "black market" tickets has surprised many fans. Accordingly, tickets with a face value of 500,000 VND in the C and D stands - are "screaming" from 3-4 million VND/pair (not sold individually), which is 3-4 times higher than the original ticket price.
Meanwhile, tickets worth 700,000 VND are being sold for around 4-6 million VND/pair and tickets worth 1 million VND are being sold for 6-8 million VND/pair. Many tickets with good seats are even being "priced" 5-6 times higher, over 10 million VND/pair.
In addition, there are also many people who buy tickets directly as a normal transaction, then resell them to others at a higher price to make a profit.
Not only the ticket brokers, many people after "hunting" for the ASEAN Cup final tickets on the website also sell them on social networks. When asked about the delivery of tickets to avoid being scammed, they said that after receiving the tickets from the Vietnam Football Federation by post, they will directly deliver them to the customer and receive the money. The ticket prices are similar or slightly cheaper than those of the ticket brokers.
Many fans were disappointed when the "black market" tickets were quite expensive and could not be purchased. Ticket prices are predicted to continue to increase today (January 1).
Previously, on December 30, 2024, right after the semi-final match, the Vietnam Football Federation opened ticket sales through an online application. However, a "web crash" incident prevented many people from buying tickets. After postponing the sale date, in just about 15 minutes, all tickets were sold out.
Notably, the Vietnam Football Federation and local organizing committee did not open direct ticket sales for the 2024 ASEAN Cup final like previous group stage and semi-final matches.
The first leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final will take place at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025 at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho.
