According to Ms. Phuong, most VNPT Lam Dong employees work on computers, are less active, and are more likely to face occupational diseases if they do not change their living habits.
The results of periodic health check-ups show that many IT engineers have signs of diseases such as shoulder pain, weak leg muscles, fatty liver, diabetes, kidney failure, etc.
Realizing the need to improve the quality of spiritual and physical life for workers, the union has proactively coordinated with the Board of Directors to implement many practical activities to improve the working environment, Ms. Phuong shared.
Since then, a series of clubs have been established such as: Music, running, walking, tennis, table tennis and especially pickleball - a new sport that combines tennis, badminton and table tennis.
In particular, with the support of the company and the union, the unit has renovated the old tennis court into two pickleball courts. Thus, along with an existing court, the total number of standard pickleball courts has increased to 3. Thereby, serving the needs of training and competition.
Mr. Nguyen Lam Dong - information technology engineer at VNPT Lam Dong said that the trade union also hires professional coaches, fully equipping the players with rackets and balls.
