On June 29, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation announced that the unit had just summarized 10 years of implementing the Law on Labor Safety and Hygiene.
According to the assessment, trade unions at all levels have actively implemented many activities to ensure the safety of workers' lives and health at the workplace.
Over the past 10 years, the whole province has organized more than 1,600 propaganda and dissemination sessions on laws on labor safety and hygiene, attracting over 92,800 participants.
At the same time, trade unions at all levels coordinated with employers to organize about 1,500 training sessions and professional training for more than 48,000 union members and workers.
Inspection and examination work has also been focused on with 185 inspections at enterprises and production facilities and more than 400 supervisions on the implementation of regulations on occupational safety and hygiene.
At the grassroots level, enterprise trade unions proactively monitor the implementation of internal regulations, processes and measures to ensure safety at the workplace.
Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Mr. Hoang Lien said: Thanks to synchronous and regular activities, most production and business establishments in the area have strictly complied with legal regulations on labor safety and hygiene. Work accident has decreased in both the number of cases and the number of casualties".
In addition, the trade union also focuses on building and improving the quality of the occupational safety and hygiene team. The whole province currently has more than 2,700 occupational safety and hygiene workers working at enterprises.
This is a core force with professional knowledge, regularly monitoring and warning of unsafe risks at the workplace, and promptly reflecting and recommending to the union and employers to take appropriate handling measures.
They are also a shock force in implementing the emulation movement Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene at the grassroots level, contributing to improving the effectiveness of this work over the past 10 years, Mr. Hoang Lien emphasized.
